29 May, 2019 Audio installation «Repressed childhood» was opened in the museum of Temirtau city to the Remembrance Day of political repressions.

Temirtau Museum has been working for many years to collect documents and memories of the Stalinist repression’s era. Unfortunately there are almost no people, who were subjected to political persecution. Therefore, the museum collects and explores the memories of repressed children, those whose childhood years fell on the era of totalitarianism.

Several dozens of childhood memories were collected as a result of the research. Some of them, the memoirs of Nikolaidi Ivan, Grigoriadi Grisha, Karevaya Margarita, Karlash Raya, Tyrushkina Zina and others became part of the audio installation. Sound memories on audio guides complemented the photo and documentary material of the Temirtau city History Hall.

Pupils of the “Beginning” theater studio took part in the creation of the audio installation, in the voice acting of the memories.
