The opening of the Baskur exhibition was held within the framework of the Exhibit of the Month project On March 18, 2021.

The museum presented an interesting ethnographic exhibit, traditional for the material culture of the Kazakh people - Baskur.

Each yurt must have a Baskur. It gives a special flavor and elegance to the dwelling and is a constructively important element in the architecture of the yurt. Our viewers learned about the functional purpose, traditions and manufacturing process of this woven ribbon.

The presented fragment of the bascur was donated to the museum in 1985.
