The museum adventure “Return to Alat settlement” was presented within the framework of the Rukhani Zhagyru project on July 15, 2021.

Employees of the Temiratau city’s Museum went to the ancient settlement of metallurgists in the Kent Mountains within the framework of the state program “Rukhani Zhagyru” in 2019. The aims- to reconstruct the smelting of metal in the manner of our ancestors. We independently mined ore, prepared charcoal, built a furnace and received metal. The comics, book and postcards were published, based on the results of the expedition, and on the square in front of the museum a model of a furnace for smelting iron was presented. This year we decided to present the research work of the expedition in a game format.

Return to Alat settlement is an interactive adventure game. Before the start, the players got acquainted with the purpose and rules of the game, got a game cube and chips. Then the players threw a cube and moved around the game locations: a

settlement, a weaving workroom, the Kentube mine, a forest, a pottery workshop, a field, a swamp and an ancient metallurgist's workroom.

In each location a task related to the exhibit was performed.

The goal of the game is to be the first to reach the finish line and see the result of the melting of ancient metallurgists - a piece of crude iron.

Each visitor of the museum adventure can follow the route of ancient metallurgists and learn the secrets of the inhabitants of the settlement “Alat settlement”.
