A vernissage "Darn good exhibition" by the artist Yuri Piltikhin was opened in the museum,  timed to coincide with the artist's 65th birthday on September 16, 2022.

 Yuri Vasilyevich is a famous artist in the Temirtau city. He graduated from the correspondence department of the People's University N.K. Krupskaya in Moscow with a degree in Painting and Graphics. After the army, he studied at the Karaganda Pedagogical Institute at the Faculty of Drawing and Fine Arts. He worked as a graphic designer. In the 80s he was the organizer and active participant of the club of amateur artists "Colorit" in the Temirtau city. Since 2006 is the chairman of the artist’s club "T-Art". He has four solo exhibitions.

He can be called a universal artist who in drawing as well as in arts and crafts, has mastered many techniques, writing and creating works. He is one of the few artists who today works in the open air and masterfully makes sketches and quick sketches. A great sense of humor allowed him to become the leading cartoonist in the city.

In the collection of Yuri Vasilyevich there are a large number of paintings devoted to the Temirtau city. And he can rightfully be called the chronicler of the city.

"Darn good exhibition" is how the artist called his jubilee vernissage. And this name has its own veiled meaning. In the primary sense, as a very good exhibition. And the visitors also saw a series of works depicting an evil spirit with horns and hooves, behind which human images with their vices are hidden.

One of the sections of the exposition is a six-meter collage of artistic sketches. There are also thematic series of paintings dedicated to the city, landscapes, illustrations, masks. 91 pictures are presented in the total.
