4 July, 2018 the exhibition photo essay "Astana is a city passed through the centuries" was opened to the 20th anniversary of the capital.

It is exhibited not in the exhibition hall, but in the street view format on the front windows of the museum.

One of the first visitors were children from the summer camp of the tutoring center of intellectual development. They got acquainted with the history of Astana, looked at photos on which are presented different stages of the formation of the capital. These stages begin with the Middle Ages, when the Bozok  town appeared and ends with the modern period. Children in a playful form guessed cultural, sports and architectural objects of the city  built in Astana since the transfer of the capital.
