The exposition block “Kuy atasy-Kurmangazy” was opened in the “Unity of Kazakhstan;s people” hallon the occasion of the 200th anniversary of Kurmangazy Sagyrbayuly and the Dombra Day of the KazakhstanRepublic on July 1, 2023, .

The exposition block, where the central element is Dombra - the soul and wisdom of the Kazakh people. From shanyrak - a symbol of the unity of the people, peace and tranquility, a glass flask descends into it; a dombra is placed in it, interesting facts are applied to the walls of the flask: how dombra was entered in the Guinness Book of Records, about the unique "Ata dombra" whose history is more than 1500 years old , legends about the origin of dombra, about the origin of the hole on the body of the dombra, about the appearance of the nut on the instrument.

At the foot of the glass structure there are audio devices with kyuis of the great Kazakh composer Kurmangazy Sagyrbayuly, his best works “Aday”, “Balbyrauyn”, “Kyzyl kayyn”, “Aksak kiik”, this is an opportunity to independently hear the sound of dombra, listen and catch the shades of sound.

The opening was accompanied by Kurmangazy kyuis performed by the ensemble "Samgau" by pupils of the children's music school No. 2.
