The presentation and opening of the exhibition «Tactile Architecture» took place as part of the celebration of the 50th anniversary  on November 16, 2023.

For the first time, a project was implemented in the museum space as part of the “Accessible Environment” program for blind and visually impaired people. The exhibition is located in the renovated hall “Temirtau in the Years of Independence”, where four significant architectural objects of the city of Temirtau are presented, relief flat plaques in 3D format:

Historical and Cultural Center of the First President

Monument to Metallurgists.

Monument to Temirtau soldiers who died during the Great Patriotic War.

Temirtau Palace of Culture.

They are not an exact copy and are made without detail. There are also photographs of the corresponding architectural objects that formed the basis for the creation of the plaques. A professional photographer took photographs from which the artist created relief flat plaques. Each object has explanatory tactile signs in Braille describing the objects.

At the opening, the reading of the reliefs was tested by specialist typhlopedicator-rehabilitologist V.A. Vysochinsky, who highly appreciated the work done. The author of the plaques, artist-sculptor, teacher Yu.V. Solovyov, also spoke, who spoke about his work in the project.
