The Temirtau Museum opened an online exhibition of the "Kazakh Women's Jewelry Ring "Kustumsyk" as part of the "Exhibit of the Month" project on December 19, 2024,.
Jewelry played a significant role in the life of a Kazakh woman and was closely connected with the history of the Kazakh people.
The Temirtau Museum contains a collection of traditional Kazakh jewelry. Among them, the kustumsyk (bird's beak) ring occupies a special place.
The exposition of the "Exhibit of the Month" project presents jewelry in the shape of a bird's beak. This is a ring - "Kustumsyk" with carnelian, a ring - a rattle made of iron, with a tamga in the form of a circle, and a ring with a red stone, made of copper wire and framed with a thin plate of silver.
The ring "Kustumsyk" was transferred to the museum's collection in 1990. The exhibits presented in the exhibition are handmade jewelry.
