31 May the opening of the dialogue platform "Overturned Peace: Archive Documents say" was held in the Temirtau Museum of local history, in conjunction with the Temirtau Domestic Policy Department. This event is devoted to the « Remembrance day of  Political Repressions» .

Museum installation including prison observation towers, artistic images of the era of totalitarianism, wooden tombstones with names, archival documents and barbed wire created the necessary atmosphere for conversation.

The results of the museum's research with the archives of rehabilitated citizens became an occasion for discussion on the dialogue platform. Students of the Karaganda State Industrial University, under the supervision of the Internal Policy Department, investigated the history of their families during the years of Stalinist repression. Participants in the dialogue were students, museum workers, representatives of ethno-cultural centers and the city's Council of Veterans.

The main question of the dialogue: Whether it is necessary to raise archival documents and cover the Stalin era, to investigate the history of their families and pass on this knowledge to descendants 90 years after the era of totalitarianism? The answer of the participants in the dialogue was unequivocal: the documents and memories identified were a source for studying the history of our city and country. The result of the dialogue: the cooperation agreement between the Department of Domestic Policy of Temirtau, KGIU and the Temirtau Museum in the search for the descendants of the victims of mass political repressions in Temirtau.
